Association of Heart Transplant Patients of the University City of Bellvitge

The association was founded in May 1995 and officially recognised by the Autonomous Government of Catalonia in July 1996. Its objectives are to provide medical services and social help, as well as organise social and cultural activities.

Patients associations in Catalonia work to improve the quality of life of those who have received a transplant or who are on a waiting list to receive one, and provide information about the possibility of undergoing this treatment or alternative therapies, like dialysis for the treatment of chronic kidney failure.
